earthlight
There will be isolated locations where the winds aren't as strong as others. Utilize the SRV or BV to determine where the strongest winds are in thunderstorms.
NYCSuburbs
Latest radar does show some slight weakening with the N NJ/SE NY storms. Absolutely does not mean there won't be any danger with these storms, but it may perhaps not be as bad as what it could've been.

nzucker
I don't know, I see some clear signs of weakening in the reflectivity scans although the radar has been a little off this afternoon. Reports from the west appear to indicate that the complex has died down a little, so I'm prepared for more of a garden variety thunderstorm here in Westchester. Still interesting though. 86.4/

Drz1111
I also see some weakening in the velocity scans - and it looks like immediate NYC is going to miss bows to the north and south. It's subtle, though - it's like the complex is going from a 9.5 out of 10 to an 8.5.
Hailstorm
Wunderground radar always show less bullish returns. I think it's a bias.
rygar
Now in "the middle" of the front line. Moderate rain, little wind, thunder in the distance and no visible cloud to ground lightning. bummed but thankful at same time. Be safe in the areas that get it bad! Similar report from my family in Hamburg (Sussex Co.)
blizzardof09
Checking the regular Upton radar on Wunderground. upton radar is funky right now. taking the reflectivity right now with the actual conditions its just not adding up really best way is the base velocity right now for the best tool. Hailstorm
I don't see why these are weakening. If anything, they should be getting stronger as they work into higher instability parameters.
