Wow a day 3 5% risk in western CT and MA. So by Wednesday maybe a slight risk over SNE?

Tall skinny cape profiles with terrible shear suggest that heavy rain/flash flooding will be the main threat as storms will be pretty slow moving. Of course can't rule out a wet microburst but don't think we'll see much in the way of severe...right now at least.

You're basically displacing Springfield or Worcester north from the sounds of it.

Looking at the monthly reports from Boston, it got to at least 86 the day before and was at 70 at both 9 PM the night before and 7 AM the day of. You can surmise that dew points were at least in the upper 60s. Other than that the weather information is rather thin. The storm was reported to move southeast so probably some element of northwest flow aloft, although the track as described is a little more east southeast.

Tomorrow is one of those days you wish you had a wind max somewhere. The SUN-MON time frame doesn't look stellar on the NWP, especially WRT timing; although, prefrontal trough action is always possible Sunday PM (CIN will be a problem). Maybe it's good that everything right now looks meh. ;)

I forgot to add that I had another close call Saturday evening that I'm sure Chris will appreciate. KTTN gusted to 63 MPH and most of Mercer County into western Monmouth (Freehold hardest hit) saw extensive wind damage. Some of the damage suggested winds likely exceeded 75 mph in the core of the downburst. The storm was supercellular but the damage was clearly straight-line.

I saw amazing lightning that shot out of the top of the storm just to my north. While I did see some rain, my wind barely reached 20 MPH. I am pretty close to Trenton. :)

Ct Blizz in OC got raked that same day.

The day we had severe here ( I believe the 18th), heard an interesting story from my Uncle down in Pembroke. Apparently, lightning struck and damaged his garage door...blowing out a piece of concrete and singeing part of his garage. The scary part, the wife and kids were 10 feet away trying to get into the house at the same time, with an umbrella.

Nothing for me to see in Holmdel either. I cannot believe how raked Freehold has gotten multiple times this summer.
