CoastalWx
Very impressive/widespread outbreak for W CT south into NJ/NE PA. I think this will be impressive for ern PA, NJ and even NYC area possibly into DXR. I guess it depends on how that bow echo holds together for BDL and points east. Radar next 2 hrs will Be interesting.
weatherwiz
I don't think we're going to be able to get those Cape values they have west of us in here...blazing and and warm front passage just were a bit too late. Once this line approaches eastern NY and western CT it should start to weaken fairly quickly. Helicity values right now not all that impressive either. Arnold214
We need to get that diffuse boundary to about ORH You need a northern bookend vortex to get you. Which, I guess is possible in the narrow tongue of high cape can advect on in ahead of the line.

wxsniss
extremely impressive bowing with BGM complex into northeast PA I know everyone here is careful to throw out the "Derecho" label, but seems to me a matter of how widespread this is (ie 240 miles) for this to make criteria, and that may not be far off when all is said and done... * AT 449 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM LOVELTON TO 11 MILES WEST OF ROCK GLEN...AND MOVING EAST AT 70 MPH.
CT Rain
The lower hudson valley and northern NJ is where it's at. Yeah no kidding. 31/21 at BDL is decent so I think the threat for big storms will include Litchfield/Fairfield Counties.
