There is a slight warm tongue at 500mb which sort of screws up a typical 500-700mb calculation.

Yeah you have to look at the sounding. If lapse rates are steep below it, it's not a bad thing even if acceleration slows a wee bit. I don't know what the sounding looks like, just saying.

What's your take on everything? Looking at this from far away and wish I had a lap top to weenie out.

Very impressive/widespread outbreak for W CT south into NJ/NE PA.

Ekster in the hizzy. Hopefully can give us his thoughts

Should get a decent lightning show there in northern CT with flash flood potential. I think the real severe stuff stays south. Need bigger CAPE in CT to sustain high-end stuff.
