You should post on his blog with all of the housewives that idolize him. Ever read the comments? They are awesome.:arrowhead:

Yes, good for some laughs. I've thought about posting there. Used to browse 3 or 4 weather boards...now I'm pretty much down to this one.

I'd get banned if I posted on his blog.

LAF at 59º at 11:00pm, just a degree behind last night at this time. I'll take the under on the point and click min temp of 55º.

Mid-Lake.

Activity was just to the south/east of the southern buoy.

Likely a shore parallel band then, where the flow from the east and west is converging, generating a vorticity sheet which subsequently becomes unstable and breaks into multiple vortices. Undoubtedly the most spectacular water spout image I've seen, I can see this going viral.

Probably one of the best waterspout pics I've seen...Taken Sat morning by chaser Eric Treece.

That is awesome. I like that pencil thin one just right of center...the funnel appears to be well above ground yet there appears to be a debris cloud (in this case water) underneath.

All but the leftmost spout have a debris swirl at the surface, seems to be more the rule than the exception that if you see a condensation funnel the circulation extends to the surface.

Wow, what a waterspout picture! I see 5 surface touchdowns with an additional funnel to the left side.

Kinda cloudy out tonight. At 58°.

Below normal temperatures bringing back Lake MI water temps back to somewhat normal.

August average temperatures/departures so far in Indiana, through the 18th. All values from the NWS.

North Webster IWX: 69.5º -2.5º

South Bend: 69.6º -2.3º

Muncie: 71.0º -2.0º

Fort Wayne: 70.3º -1.7º

Goshen: 68.9º -1.6º

Lafayette: 72.3º -1.6º

Evansville: 76.9º -0.4º

Bloomington: 73.3º -0.3º

Indianapolis Eagle Creek: 74.1º -0.1º

Indianapolis: 75.8º +0.8º

Shelbyville: 74.4º +1.6º

Terre Haute: 75.4º +2.0º

The departures for Shelbyville and Terre Haute look a little funky IMO when looking at their average temps compared to everyone else. Alas, that's what IND has for them.

So hard to get negative departures here this month due to the urban heat island and moderating lake influence, with lows dipping down only into the mid to upper 50s even on the better radiational heating nights. We're on the brink of a negative departure though (+0.1).

MKE has to be one of the only locations in the area with a positive departure. Madison is at -0.6 for the month, Chicago -0.5 and Rockford is at -1.9

Anyway today will be another comfortable day, with some shower/thunderstorms later this afternoon. Maybe even some more waterspouts.
