If you guys grew up in the tropics like I did you'd be immune to allergies. There's so much crazy stuff in the air down there compared to here, and it's every month of the year, not much of a break during winter.

I was in Huntsville, AL during summer of '88 and I got one of the most painful fungal infections in my ears. It was like someone pounded spikes through my eardrums. Lasted a good week and the first two days all I could do was lay down and be miserable. I couldn't even stand to chew food for four days.

Since then, any infections I've had in my ears have been quite short lived and mild in comparison.

0.54" at LAF yesterday. Looks like the bucket there is finally fixed...for the time being.

Grass in my yard, while certainly not being lush, is the greenest it's looked in a couple of months.

Also, sitting at +0.1º for August through yesterday.

Absolute perfect day made it to 77 before the lake breeze came through, also a decent amount cumulus out there today.

Actually, with a little luck tomorrow (an isolated storm or two or perhaps some cloud debris), it might be a struggle to make it into the 80s again tomorrow. Looking at the extended, if that happened, it might mean two straight weeks without touching 80. I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but it is remotely possible.

Even if we make it to 80 tomorrow the next week or so looks awesome for mid August. We actually may be headed for our first below normal month in a very long time.

Managed to pull a nice day off here. Sun came out around noon. Temps have responded nicely. The upcoming couple days of 80s to near 90 will feel more like Summer and a welcome change.

We are going to start calling you Tropical 2.0

The last few days have allowed me to get caught up on yard projects and start recovering my lawn... Screw heat.

The same here. I discovered a thistle hiding behind the shed that was as tall as me! It had pickers two inches long that were like sewing needles. I took the lawnmower to it.

Yard projects in the rain?

It stopped raining early in the day here yesterday and none today. Took a jog and also enjoyed work for the first time in 2.5 months.

Heat... Its the 3rd world suck.

Yea, sweating at 95+ degrees outside is just a blast.

Beyond swimming, what outdoor activity is better above 75 degrees?
