Friend on facebook posted a pic of the sky from Troy. And one of my friends is headed down to meet me and he just drove through it and he said in his rearview mirror the sky is black, looks like the end of the world lol.

It's truly amazing what I'm looking at to my north I see some what clear skies and to my south that wall of black that is just not nudging this way I hear it continuous amounts of thunder and see tons of lightning but is not moving at all.

They may gradually rotate SE into the higher instability and as the surface low slowly moves east.

Good call, though it was probably more the storms pushing SE off their own outflow than the low moving (never ending up anything besides a light rain IMBY either)

Central MI/Saginaw Valley could not have asked for better snow storm set-up. I wonder if spots would have topped 20"

You've mentioned that a couple times now, enough. Comparing early August systems to winter and thinking "what if?" every time you see some sort of deformation zone-esque thing is stupid and pointless. Obviously MI wont be seeing any snowstorms where places receive 6"+ of liquid. Ever.

Today was nice, but far from autumn-like with a high of 80. Compared to the recent heat though it felt cool, especially with the low humidity. Tomorrow looks like another fantastic day with highs near 80 again.

DVN still beating the drum on a cool pattern setting up the next 14 days....

...IN WAKE

OF FRONT ON FRI INTO NEXT WEEKEND EXPECT UNSEASONABLY COOL AIR WITH

NEAR RECORD TO RECORD COOL TEMPS POSSIBLE. HIGHS COULD POSSIBLY

STRUGGLE TO HIT 70 SOME AREAS ON FRI AND MAYBE EVEN SAT WHILE LOWS

WELL DOWN IN THE 40S WITH POSSIBLY SOME U30S IN FAVORED COLD DRAINAGE

LOCATIONS. NEXT ANOMALOUSLY DEEP TROUGH SUGGESTED BY MID-LATE PORTION

OF WEEK OF 8/19 - 8/25 WITH YET ANOTHER SHOT OF COOL AIR AND GOOD

RAIN CHCS. OVERALL IT APPEARS WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF A TRULY REMARKABLE

SHIFT IN THE UPPER AIR PATTERN /REVERSAL OF FORTUNE/.
