BTW your aviator is classic. God Bless that Dexter EF3. That thing was the supercell that could. It called its own shots that day.

Yup. Being in Ann Arbor it was especially rememberable....It made a hard right turn and was heading right for the city,if not for other convection in the area it could have easily made it to the campus.

* AT 528 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED 6 MILES SOUTH OF ARGYLE...OR 6 MILES NORTHWEST OF SANDUSKY...AND MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

* THIS DANGEROUS STORM WILL BE NEAR...

ELMER AROUND 535 PM EDT.

SANDUSKY AROUND 550 PM EDT.

DECKERVILLE AROUND 600 PM EDT.

MCGREGOR AROUND 605 PM EDT.

CARSONVILLE AROUND 620 PM EDT.

APPLEGATE AROUND 630 PM EDT.

These last three days have been as active severe weather wise in the Midwest and Ohio Valley as any period this summer. Four or five different severe clusters ongoing in the Eastern Lakes and OV right now.

This is not really related to this event, but I went back and looked at the past few months and can only find 1 tornado warning in Indiana since May 2. That is hard to believe.

Tornado warned supercell out in the open wilderness of southern Kenora District in northwestern Ontario. Gold Rock isn't even on a map.

Edit, EC thinking it may be moving towards the isolated towns of Mine Centre and Seine River Village in the Rainy River District.
