You will get out ahead of the line of storms as you are heading NE. You may encounter some turbulence as you climb out and get over Long Island, nothing major though. At least our area came much closer to meeting 'potential' with 12 tornadoes. But, as has been pointed out, that was a lot of gear-up for an event where the vast majority of us never saw any severe weather. Well since we are all weather lovers I guess its to be expected but unfortunate when the other side is mocked. Saying squall lines were usually more interesting last night drew some of that.. It is such a pain in my ass going to IAD every time i go international. I have actually started using PHL much more often it is about the same distance from my house as IAD and in rush hour it is actually shorter to get there.
