Ready for the rains--perhpas mow the lawn at some point today. I've been up since 5:30 but dog walks and daddying and husbanding keep me from my precious keyboard. lol Stunning morning with a great day shaping up. .9" of rain the past 2 days so plants etc are looking good. I'll agree Mike, I've lived city, coast and inland and W. Ma. feels right at home.

Not lush, but the vast majority of what had been crispy looks alive once again. Nice healthy 5 day QPF progs out of HPC. Will make a lot of us happy. Dry begets dry. This morning has an early fall feel to it. What time do the Pats play? Yup--cool, dry 60's at 10:00a.m. ftw. Shortening days (especially noticing the later sunrise--tougher to get out of bed at 5:00) and knowing that we are on the downhill slide toward the cool and cold seasons are all signs that football is right around the corner.
