NJwinter23
Yeah I mentioned earlier in the post as long as the front fires storms to the NW, and the shear is adequate it should be ok. Indeed it was as the seabreeze front was shallow enough. I was more concerned about the seabreeze front sort of acting as the cold front. Too often I've seen the seabreeze front hold storms in check, but 50kts of wrly shear will tell you not to worry. I gotcha. I am not familiar with the area and how that interaction would work there. Was definitely worried the front would come in too early over there... That cell is still going nuts...a long track water spout lol

CoastalWx
I gotcha. I am not familiar with the area and how that interaction would work there. Was definitely worried the front would come in too early over there That was my fear with the n-ne winds. I probably got a little too down, but the good news is that the 50kts of shear is more than enough to hold these storms together. You also have the boundary interaction and helicity helping too. It's funny because this morning I thought back to your encounter on NJ.
Turtle
looks like the shelf cloud, where is the tornado? Hi Steve! Not sure if it touched down, but when the camera went straight up, I thought it looked like a funnel in the white cloud angling downward. I also heard winds in their audio, which might have been RFD. Again, not sure what direction they were shooting toward. I think they caught the backside of it. I think they should get a look at this at the office, especially if HF is there. BTW, NICE photo from your work, too! --Turtle

Chrisrotary12
The Gust Front is really pushing southwest. Should be interesting to see if it helps to push the cells in Northern Rhode Island and Northern Connecticut to the south at all.
