CoastalWx
61/59 .27 so far this morning - max rainfall rate was .36 at 10:03am. Surprised at how steady the rain has been this am. Channel 10 at 6:45am said nothing more than a few sprinkles with sun by afternoon. Rain started at 7:30 and has been light to moderate since. Overrunning perhaps? Weak mid level frontogenesis and WAA.

RIcoastalWX
Weak mid level frontogenesis and WAA. Thanks! Dewpoint has fallen 4 degrees from 62 when it started raining to 58 now. Rain 'intensity' seems to have increased as the dews have decreased. Thanks again for the explanation!

Typhoon Tip
I dunno - I saw lots of guidance yesterday indicating a raining day in CT than not. It was always Mass that was supposed to get skirted S and that also seems on target.

HOWEVER...HIGH PRESSURE NOSING DOWN OVER EASTERN CANADA AND LITTLE INSTABILITY WILL LIKELY KEEP MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION SOUTHWEST OF OUR REGION. EVEN IF A FEW SHOWERS AFFECT OUR INTERIOR ZONES FOR A TIME DURING THE MORNING/EARLY AFTERNOON...THEY SHOULD BE SHORT LIVED AND LIGHT. THE MAIN AFFECTS OF THE MCS IN OUR REGION WILL BE A FAIR AMOUNT OF MID LEVEL CLOUDINESS...ESPECIALLY IN OUR SOUTHWEST ZONES. LIMITED SUNSHINE WILL LIKELY HOLD HIGH TEMPS IN THE 70S...WITH THE COOLEST READINGS FOUND IN THE SOUTHWEST ZONES WITH MORE CLOUDINESS IN THOSE LOCATIONS. Either tomorrow or Sunday just depends on weather, Sunday might be the better day. This is the kind of rain you dream about, enough to make a difference but not too much that it just runs off like last Sunday. Two more lawns to fertilize after lunch, then I can relax, watching the Open right now with a nice tuna on rye. 61 light rain
