.27 so far this morning - max rainfall rate was .36 at 10:03am.

Surprised at how steady the rain has been this am. Channel 10 at 6:45am said nothing more than a few sprinkles with sun by afternoon. Rain started at 7:30 and has been light to moderate since. Overrunning perhaps?

Weak mid level frontogenesis and WAA.

if this was a winterstorm I would be overjoyed with a positive bust and there would be lots of splainin to do Lucy. all the forecasts I saw, heard this AM, had us getting sprinkles. Looks like more to come too

I am not complaining, I need rain at home and looks like we are getting some; Once you cross the Ma line in Sturbridge, nothing happening.

I dunno -

I saw lots of guidance yesterday indicating a raining day in CT than not. It was always Mass that was supposed to get skirted S and that also seems on target.

Guidance and forecast were miles apart

Showers likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 73. East wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

I said today would be a "rainy day" last night at 5p. Off and on showers, 1/4" in many towns was my forecast on air. Not sure what the other stations or NWS had though.

That may be the case - I don't rely much upon those point and click texts; I look at the data and formulate my own opinions on what's likely to happen.

RIDAY...

WILL INCLUDE SOME LOW POPS IN OUR WESTERN/SOUTHERN ZONES JUST IN

CASE WE GET GRAZED BY THE MCS TRACKING TO OUR SOUTHWEST.

HOWEVER...HIGH PRESSURE NOSING DOWN OVER EASTERN CANADA AND LITTLE

INSTABILITY WILL LIKELY KEEP MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION SOUTHWEST

OF OUR REGION. EVEN IF A FEW SHOWERS AFFECT OUR INTERIOR ZONES FOR

A TIME DURING THE MORNING/EARLY AFTERNOON...THEY SHOULD BE SHORT

LIVED AND LIGHT.

THE MAIN AFFECTS OF THE MCS IN OUR REGION WILL BE A FAIR AMOUNT OF

MID LEVEL CLOUDINESS...ESPECIALLY IN OUR SOUTHWEST ZONES. LIMITED

SUNSHINE WILL LIKELY HOLD HIGH TEMPS IN THE 70S...WITH THE COOLEST

READINGS FOUND IN THE SOUTHWEST ZONES WITH MORE CLOUDINESS IN THOSE

LOCATIONS.

Steady, soaking moderate rainfall, and damn chilly down to 61!!

Dude you have plenty of water now. Great to see, good day to chill, have a couple, watch some Yankee Classics, eat some hot winter food like some Chili. Beach days incoming, what day you going where we talked about?

Either tomorrow or Sunday just depends on weather, Sunday might be the better day. This is the kind of rain you dream about, enough to make a difference but not too much that it just runs off like last Sunday.

Two more lawns to fertilize after lunch, then I can relax, watching the Open right now with a nice tuna on rye.
