Typhoon Tip
The euro had maybe 0.5" or so in SW CT, but nothing much past Waterbury. It would be close. I could see radar looking ominous moving towards SW CT and then it dries up near and over SW CT as it struggles east. Still a cloudy and cool day for the state. This kind of reminds me of one of those deals where it's like January 20th and we haven't had much snow all seen just yet, and there's a clipper coming at us and the radar always looks like the models will bust too far S and then nothing happens after all -

Ginx snewx
I mentioned Moosup quite a bit during my svr coverage yesterday! I missed it all, your coverage and the storm at home! Lots of small limbs, leaf debris and the usual runoff down the lawn and driveway. Family said frequent CTG and booming thunder, no hail though. Are you guys participating in the statewide hurricane simulation July 30/31. We have to do the whole EOC thing. They are using 38 as the case study. Yikes, this should be interesting and grossly underestimated as far as grid, infrastructure issues.

powderfreak
CT Blizz would hate this...folks going out to dinner throwing light jackets on as it's already in the 50s at 930pm. 58/51 calm and clear...forecast low is 44F but lowest dew points today were 45-46 so I bet we bottom out at 47F-ish. mreaves
Out of curiosity how do place like berlin,nh. Randolph,nh (1500') and gorham do annually? Seems there is just vÉry little land to choose from near the spine (n of 89) in vt. Maybe belvedre area near 1200-1500' pfreak or any of those towns between jay and stowe near 1500 I think would get 200 every winter Belvedere, Eden, Lowell all get crushed. It is pretty isolated though. Great snowmobiling area.

Damage In Tolland
Sadly..dry begets dry..even when radar looks promising..the drought worsens HAT DRY AIR IS MOVING INTO SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND. SURFACE DEWPOINTS IN CT-RI-SE MASS HAVE HELD AROUND 60...BUT THE AIR ABOVE 5000 FEET HAS DRIED SUBSTANTIALLY AS PER 00Z CHH SOUNDING. MEANWHILE...THE SHOWERS ARE MOVING EAST INTO THAT DRY AIR. THE RESULT HAS BEEN IMPRESSIVE RADAR DISPLAYS WITH VERY LITTLE PCPN TO SHOW FOR IT. WE EXPECT THAT TO REMAIN THE CASE TODAY WITH THE BEST CHANCE OF ANY MEASUREABLE PCPN BEING IN CT AND PARTS OF RI. WE HAVE FORECAST CHANCE POPS FOR SHOWERS IN THESE STATES...BUT EXPECT ANY MEASUREABLE AMOUNTS TO BE CLOSE TO TRACE LEVELS.

Mr Torchey
The rain may amount to very little. Easy with the fertilizer. You would never want to fertilize before a heavy rain, EVER it just washes away and leads to algae blooms. Irrigation and hand watering will do the trick and the light rain is perfect.
