And it was totally unforecast by everyone

Yes it was. I couldn't believe that MMK/HFD were both 99 too.

It was sneaky Scooter warmth that overperformed. Yesterday was just a brutally hot and humid day.

Heat advisory criteria met in many areas... excessive heat warning criteria verified at MMK.

I guess it was CT centric, but I was in heaven that winter so I won't lose sleep that parts of CT got 10" or so more than me. If it were like '03-'04 than I would be upset. We'll get ours, might even be this winter.

Yea, not complaining about that season at all....it just fit within the CT-centric context.

Thank god that crap is out to sea for the foreseeable future. Would be nice if that is it for the year.

Yesterday was yet another chapter in the CT-centric book that I was glad to have seen written....not nearly as hot up here...lots of clouds.

Tuesday was hell-day, here.

Irene caused some excitement. Not often you get a TC moving into SNE. Even Betha in '96 was exciting to me, and that wasn't damaging or anything. JMHO.

Bertha is underrated IMO lol. I loved that storm. Ray is right that Irene was a bust outside of CT/Western Mass. Any storm that drops 5-10" of rain in this part of the country is pretty exciting to me though.

Yeah I thought it was awesome. Maybe because I was younger and more impressed...but I thought it was fun. We had a great tstm during the overnight before it arrived too.

Irene was the worst natural disaster to hit the state of Vermont in a very long time. Its still in the news from time to time regarding budget funds and roads and financial aids to towns. That messed up this state.

Oh yeah VT too... was talking SNE... but yeah western New England was just pummeled. CT had tree damage/worst power outage on record, worst coastal flooding in decades, and serious inland flooding. It was a 3-fer here. Up north the water damage was unreal.

Underestimated by some how brutal that was up there. This winter opened my eyes when I saw it.

Eh, I'm all about the storm not the cold and depth. I'd rather 6" turn to sleet and rain with a driving 50 knot wind then a foot of powder. That's just me though.

It's not like the Cape means living in BDA..lol. He acts like he lives in Stowe and the Cape is more like Cape Hatteras.
