Summer update III: SNE region's 4 primary climo sites all remain solidly above normal as of the closing of July 14.

The local stations here all went with a rip and read GFS showers on Friday while the euro has sunny and low-mid 80's.

Wonder which will win

Which way are you leaning? I'm guessing dry but its hard to tell because you've used both the GFS and ECM this summer depending on which one is the hottest or the driest.

In all honesty, that's not a bad way to play it considering the departures and dryness we've seen over the past 6 weeks.

Dry begets dry..I may have to give up on my lawn

Still can't believe BDL got to 100 yesterday. Totally unforecasted by everyone.including KFS

Nobody talked about it due to the ongoing severe weather, but man 100 is no joke........always a milestone in New England. Looks like we are off to the races Sunday, and perhaps again later next week.

No. I got .11 from the storm and another .04 from an evening shower.

All of it ran off. It did nothing for the lawn..Good lightning and thunder but it may as well not have rained

That sucks. We've had 4-5 inches of rain in the last four days down this way. Things are pretty green here, definitely no signs of leaves drying up or lawns going brown.

Thats incredible, 1.31 for the month here which is -.54 for the month to date, Sunday was the first time it had rained since June 25. 90% of lawns burned up here. What a difference 25 miles can make!

By the way RECORD HIGH OF 95 AT BDR.

We got dumped on Sun evening. That was the heaviest rain I've seen in a couple years. Yesterday afternoon we had four periods of heavy rain in the afternoon with the thunderstorms. I'm sure the grass and other plants have been drinking up big time this week.

Yeah...last 2 euro runs had 60s/70s in the afternoon there with some rain.

Beautiful 55F this morning here. EC ens looked really comfortable overall through the end of the month.

Yeah not too bad. I figure we could get some humidity with that pattern, but 90 is tough to do with what I see there.
