gravitylover
I was at B East yesterday and it was pretty good. There is a (rock) hard base in the trees that will wake up nicely with a foot or snow. Might go back again Sunday.

I'll be there, unless it keeps tracking toward the coast, in which case Magic Mt. might be in play.
bch2014
The last three days at whistler have been great. Although it hasn't been a very good snow year for them, we have still found areas of untracked in the places such as flute bowl and sapphire bowl. The mountain is so huge it's amazing... About 15km wide

I have some friends pushing me to meet them at Magic. It had to have been marginal before the wind so how good/bad might it be after the wind and holiday crowds? bch2014
Do you prefer Whistler or Blackcomb? I'd say blackcomb overall because I feel like a lot of the mid mountain at whistler is too cramped and crowded whereas at blackcomb there are nice tree and bump runs.. I really like the symphony and bagel bowl areas on whistler though.. Blackcomb glacier is awesome too as the terrain is so steep yet the snow stays really fresh because it is low traffic.. I did get disoriented in the fog there however and got a little too close to a ~150' cliff for my liking.

powderfreak
Thank you upslope.... orographic lift is a wonderful thing. 18-inch storm total this morning from the synoptic (4") part followed by the upslope part (14"). This sequence just about sums it up... deep snow. Thank you orographic lift. Its hard to get much better than today... well, last year's 36" in 36 hours event was better. But after a couple weeks of snow without thaw, then a dense 3-4" followed by a fluffy 11-14" brings conditions up to prime levels.

CoolMike
Some really great photos there PF! Stowe is on my list for next year. I hope I catch it at a time like that! Northern VT upslope powder snowboarding? Yes, please! Personally, I'll be at Ragged this Sunday or Monday and probably Wildcat later next week (Perhaps Thursday?). Southshorewx
Heading up to Portsmouth to go hiking. Just wondering if I will need my snowshoes around there saturday. What does southern Maine and nh have for snow on the coast right now?
Tolland Death Band
Anyone ski Loon lately, how's it been? Was there on 2 Feb. they blew a ton of snow and a lot was ungroomed. Place skied great for 3 days after a rainstorm but that's their reputation.

subdude
missed out on the freshies this week. We skied Black Mtn on Mon and hit Wildcat on Tues. Still awesome days nonetheless. The crew we went with stuck around and skied Bretton Woods yesterday a nice 9" of pow.
subdude
Seems like the later part of this week has been epic for N. resorts. Hopefully it continues into next week. Mid-week could be just what the Dr. ordered. cough, cough.

Would've thought they'd get some much better footage out of 2 feet of champagne.
