Chicago Storm
96 here. Some Cu present, more than yesterday, which makes me wonder if they will put a cap on temperature increase. Looks like that will be the case. The MKE to PWK corridor really didn't warm much over the last OBS. Temp as fallen back to 94 here. It will be interesting to see if ORD can make it up to 100, or fall just short.
stormtrackertf
Dews have mixed out at almost the perfect time. Winds are great too and in a direction that prevents lake influence. Temps should soar into the heavens.

Hoosier
105 is in the cards for sure, especially with our huge jump last hour. I'd say it falls a degree or two short. Sorta asking a lot to tack on 7 more degrees from this point forward.

SpartyOn
The next hourly OBS will be the most important in predicting if DTW shatters the record. Another 4-5 degree jump would unreal.

Powerball
I'd say it falls a degree or two short. Sorta asking a lot to tack on 7 more degrees from this point forward. Agreed. Between the healthy CU field and the dewpoints still in the upper 60s, I think 102*F-103*F is more reasonable. Besides, it wasn't mentioned, but the temps at 850mb and 925mb this morning were about 2 degrees cooler than the NAM progged
stormtrackertf
Well...that was kind of anti-climatic. Still 98°F at DTW this hour.

stormtrackertf
Kind of a strange factoid...but the other two times DTW hit 100°F this year, the temperature also stalled between 1:00PM and 2:00PM. It's like we hit some kind of a wall at exactly that time.
