I don't see DTW getting into the mid-100's. I think even 103 is somewhat of a stretch, given how things have gone so far this year...the NAM showed us getting a few-several degrees hotter on the other two 100 days this year, too, but I would not be surprised at all if we make it to 100 or 101. Anything higher than that would just be crazy, it's surprisingly rare for DTW to get much hotter than that, but I'd be welcoming of a 103 degree reading...it always has fascinated me that we've had so many 102's and a few 104's, but never a 103. :P

THE DAKOTAS INTO SOUTHERN MICHIGAN TODAY. THE DAY WILL BEGIN ON

THE WARM SIDE AS EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR 80.

TEMPERATURES WILL THEN RAPIDLY WARM DURING THE LATE MORNING...WITH

READINGS LIKELY REACHING OR EXCEEDING 100 DEGREES DURING THE

AFTERNOON. THE AIRMASS WILL NOT BE EXCESSIVELY HUMID...BUT

DEWPOINTS IN THE MID TO POSSIBLY UPPER 60S WILL ALLOW THE HEAT INDEX

TO RANGE FROM 103 TO 110 DEGREES. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE

ACROSS SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN FROM LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH
