Summer is amazing. So much to do in such little time. Winter is too boring.

Summer is amazing when its in the 80's with t-storms not the 100's and bone dry. This summer is getting ridiculous. Its now time for a cool down with more of an active pattern.

Sparty-

You're nuts. What can you do when its 99F? That is what it was here all afternoon. I took my kids to the beach and we swam in the Mississippi...it was like swimming in pee (we probably were)..i bet the water temp is around 90F. Just disgusting.. 80Fs are fine...no problem... I'd take 50F and rain over today.

I'll admit it's hot out and I'm human so I sweat too. Lol. The heat doesn't bother me though like it seems many of you guys (no pun). I work outside in this stuff with ease. Honestly Summer is my fav season. Drink plenty of water and kick back. I'll take 100/77 over sub zero and grey- 60 and grey. Long live the sun!

00z NAM now trying to sneak in another really hot day for the QC Thursday at 105. Seems like an outlier though at this point.

I had been thinking 101 for MLI tomorrow, but after today's underachievement I'll adjust that down to 98. Should make 100 pretty easy in places like ORD and Rockford. MLI could sneak in a 100 on Wed or Thu if clouds/precip stay at bay. They always overachieve when frontal boundaries are closing in.

I'm with you 100% on that one. If we could only get a little bit more t-storm action to moisten up the lawn and garden, this would be pretty much an ideal summer for me.

It's definitely been the hottest thus far of my life, I just missed the 1988 madness. Honestly, it kind of has to get as hot as it has been for me to even comfortably go swimming, and I love to swim, so the heat is welcome to me.

If we hit 100°F+ tomorrow at DTW, that will be the third time this year we've topped the century mark. Does anyone know how many times Detroit has seen 3 or more 100's in a year? As far as I can remember from reading through all of our records, it only has happened 2 or 3 other times...Obviously, in the dust bowl days and in '88, and I believe one other time, but I can never find a good site with old records/observations so there might have been more. Either way, I guess, it's a very rare occurance.

I'd take 60s or 50s and showery weather over this heat any day. Tom Skilling was talking about a wave riding along the front Wednesday into Thursday that might set off some thunderstorm complexes. Might help temper the heat in some areas if it comes true.

As hot as it been this summer, here in Saginaw, MI our highest Temp so far was 97 which we hit twice. I'd like it to hit 100 tomorow just so I can say we hit tripple digits lol. As for weather in general, I like all extremes, just don't like the current streak of no rain.
