Tomorrows record high is 101F set in 1887. I will be rooting for anything to mess up a potential record high, because I hate to see such an old heat record go! That was the only 100F+ in the 19th century at Detroit (since records began in 1871). There was a 99F in 1881 however.

I hate to trot out the old cliche but records were made to be broken. :guitar:

Why would we love the heat? I think everyone here is pretty much a winter weather lover that can enjoy severe episodes in spring and fall. Summer just plain sucks.

80's is fine... over 90 and it's draining. WInter is fine, but I hate the extreme cold. I should probably live in Honolulu, but that's probably not going to happen.

That's the only thing left to getting me to total, 100% weather misery.

Will be interesting to see if it verifies. There will be a front in the area which helps but not entirely convinced we can pull it off with how dry it has gotten.

ah yes...

EXPECTING THERE WILL

BE THE POTENTIAL FOR HIGHER TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF

OF THE AREA TUESDAY AFTERNOON. RAISED HIGH TEMPERATURES AHEAD OF

THE FRONT TO A RANGE OF 95 TO 100 ALONG AND SOUTH OF I90 AND WITH

DEW POINTS IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 60S AHEAD OF THE FRONT...THIS

WILL PRODUCE HEAT INDICES OF 100 OR HIGHER. PLAN TO BRING THE HEAT

ADVISORY FARTHER NORTH INTO THIS AREA TO COVER THESE CONDITIONS.

another day of this crap.

Sorry, might as well go all out in this hot summer.

No.

This type of weather is my first love, then winter STORMS.

I would like more severe weather though.
