Avdave
0.75" of rain with just some lighter stuff now. Storms really took their time moving through with rain for over an hour and lightning still going. Nice Craig, just getting some lightning here as well visible

wxmeddler
Here is some dual-POLE radar via Radarscope; "Differential phase tilt #1" My impression is that downsloping near Frederick, MD is causing the classic DC slit. These storms look thin and reedy. Of course, right around 6 pm the heavens opened up here; we already had our dump so this would be round two. It's actually Dual-Pol as in Dual Polarization and there's downsloping everywhere along the blue ridge, it's most likely caused by the cold pool stacked up against the first ridge at the surface caused by outflow from the cells in Carrol county earlier today. WinteryMix- It's Dual-Pol as in Dual-Polarization I misspelled it for the primitive craven beasts here. BTW, the last frames show the line strengthening and filling in a bit.
