burgertime
you must really hate snow. Solutions lately are too good to be true. We need to temper them.
Lookout
I might as well lie on the tracks and get it done with. Great line. It's going to be tough watching eastern nc get hammered. It's always depressing as hell for me when the carolinas get creamed and we get nothing. Is Lookout's ledge full? Besides....it's still to early in the season to opt out. BUT.....You can hold a spot for me to join you in March if I haven't seen anything frozen by then lol..yeah my ledge has had a lot of action over the years I like roberts idea though, jumping off the ledge has gotten old..need something new to put myself out of my misery I didn't have high expectations for this winter given the state of la nina and everyone's forecasts but it will be depressing for sure if we don't get anything other than the flurries/light freezing rain this winter. Especially when you compare it to last year's awesome winter.

burgertime
Of course I could be wrong, just doesn't look like as much QPF is associated with it.
burgertime
At 48 light QPF is spreading over the eastern half of NC furthest west it has gotten is CLT. There is still some energy in the GOM so we will have to see what it does. BTW I'm working at the same time I'm trying to compare maps so please excuse me if I'm wrong about the details. It could be this thing is just slower to form in the GOM.

Amos83
at hr48 the NAM is a good bit further west than the 12z was at hr54 a little wetter as well. Still not showing as big of a deal as the EURO but to me it keeps the trend of slightly better scenerio going.

NCBlizzard
Bastardi updated and said he still expects this thing to correct a little further west than being modeled. He also says that any model runs that show this thing going out sea are all because of phasing issues and to discard them until later tomorrow. Example 18z NAM. I'm glad to see it further west though. It's all about trends and the trend of pushing this storm further west continues to hold even with the NAM. Silver lining Burger Silver lining! chapelhillwx
I really hope it doesn't go too far west... remember the same date last year? We were all ecstatic about the western trend. I got out of school, we had an inch of ridiculous sleet, and I woke up to rain.
