definitely remember the big heat in 93, 99, 10...was there also a big heat wave around the 4th in 88 or 89?

There's probably not going to be much, if any records broken this time. Might get close to 100 degrees on the 6th/7th but temps cool down by the 8th. We'd need widespread 100+ degree heat to break these records, which unless Saturday's set up becomes more favorable, won't happen in this case.
