Parents ended up with about a 1/4 inch of rain. Figures. Maybe they'll get more later. Hope so.

Their tree-sheltered anemometer had a 28 mph gust, which is pretty good. Probably some small branches down in the area, though no confirmation.

I have been watching unfold outside...bit of lightning and thunder but not a severe storm.

in my 20 years of living in wall twp before moving to PA, I only had one legit severe storm hit where we were...only saw hail twice...and had more damage in winter storms than all summer t storms combined....except Irene.

doesn't really bother me. i got to see some awesome clouds, got rain and it cooled off...what more could you ask for.

the visuals with this line were by far the coolest aspect. some decent gusts and rumbles, and frankly more rain than I was expecting based on radar...

captured some cool video on the new s3...

just want to thank Mount Holly and a few local media types for not using the "d" word on air, in social media, or in print. Not sure if this will qualify as one from a technical definition...yeah, it was a pretty bad line overall but the needless hype over any line of storms being a "derecho" is getting nauseating.

Really nice pics everyone! Awesome clouds last evening. Had some wind and rain in southern Cheso--very little thunder with some cloud to cloud lightning. Glad it was not severe when it reached us so you could be safe outside to watch it rolll in.

SPC bumps Philly metro back into slight risk after not having us in one earlier. Consistency FTL...

BTW, third time this week the risk has changed from the 6z to the 12z outlook for the Philly metro. This also happened yesterday (bump to moderate) and on Monday.

Great pics everyone, thanks. Clouds last night were remarkable. Was outside around 9, ctc was also remarkable. Landscaper ran over the bucket, so my water glass looks like it has about 2 inches in it - Tom what did you have at the course?

Today looks somewhat promising. Our low is up over Worchester, so that wont help today. But already a little bit of CAPE, lots of moisture - PW over 2, quite a bit of shear around over 45 down in DC. Let's see what the day brings.
