Summer update: With June in the books and modestly cooler than normal, the regional string is broken

it's iffy on whether we are going to get some Sonoran air into that subtropical ridge era of the summer, but 88/72 type torridity is a slam dunk given the trends in the blended teleconnectors and their operational counterparts, and it may last awhile.

Why on gods earth would anybody with any sense of sanity want the weather to be hot and sticky versus today's just perfect feel? Our typical Mid July HHH incoming, until then it's easily the best weather days of the month.

if they are not any thunderstorms to be had, the HHH is pretty useless. Unless of course I'm on vacation (like next week), I don't care if it is 105 every day. ;) If we get bouts of severe storms on the rare occasion, the heat pays off. Not this summer.

Day after day of perfection.

A true pleasure to work outside today, and the low dews and cobalt blue skies made it that much better. Best Summer Ever part 2 is living up to its namesake, and quite possibly the best summer I have ever experienced in Ct.

Typical normal summer weather for a few days then the DOG days settle in...........still on track for warmest year ever, simply amazing.

mostly sunny

EC ens bring the troughiness back to our region d10-15 after we go into the soup for a good 5 days. It's probably another case of back down to near normal at the coldest, but it'd at least be a semi break from the extreme heat and humidity.

td at the Weatherbug site in Gardner, MA is at 43... nice

Local mesosite near me says 53... :(

Should be a great few days before a return to the swamp azz some people prefer.

Looks like a lot of stations went into the 30s for dew points this afternoon across the northern tier...

But look at SLK's dews today... lol at the 32F. When was the last time someone in the Northeast saw a dew point of freezing?
