106F at RDU breaks the alltime record... 105f was the old record that was tied twice already this year. Can we see 107f? IMBY it's 106.5f right now

Well officially I heard it only reached 105.8, so the all-time record was not broken lol. WRAL posted it was broken, then came back and apologized.

Went to the mtns this weekend with the family. We had a late lunch today at the Mt. Pisgah Inn, at 5000 ft on the Parkway. When we left there around 3PM, it was 67 degrees with rain showers....some 35-40 degrees cooler than locales to the east.

Beautiful up there. The weather is crazy different from up there to down the mountain on either side to Brevard Road or down to the Cruso and Bethel areas.

Still a very oppressive 88° at 10:35PM tonight

Lastnight was very odd solak. I went to pick up a friend to go spotlighting for deer at dark and it was a nice 85 degrees. While we were riding around the temp actually jumped up to 88 through 10pm. You don't see that alot but lastnight was one of the few times i've watched it happen. My friend was getting a bit ticked because her AC has been running non-stop for the last 2 weeks just about.

Picked up about .17" from some serious sounding storms that washed out right as they got here. Lots of lightning and thunder, no wind, no heavy downpours. Just 4 miles W and SW and NW, same storms left over an inch.

One giant bag of fail today. Not a drop of rain..... doubt we will get anywhere close to what the models showed

I feel your pain.....I'm still keeping up hope although on the first day of "much increased precip chances", we had a nice sunny day of 94 degrees with a few clouds. I don't know why I have this feeling that I'll read an FFC forecast discussion and see something to this effect: "looks like the frontal boundary is going to wash out much quicker than expected.....will lower POPs in accordance to the latest guidance." I've read things like this all to often the last year and a half, but as of right now, I'm holding on to some hope!!!!! :raining:

Lots of lightning and thunder, but will we get anything to show for it? Stay tuned...

Radar says it should be pouring right now and all I see is some sprinkles imby... Lots of thunder and Lightning but hardly a drop is falling. fml

Edit : Yep, complete shaft. Pretty unlucky day around here. I'm still hooking my wagon to the Foothills rain train for the rest of the week though. :maprain:

LOL I love your member title.

I love yours back. Nice laugh I got :) Thanks. I worry it was up too long.

Might be a wet week for you, lol.

Nothing here yet. Great light show from up Atl. way, and lots

of thunder, north and south. The atmosphere is juiced, and I think

we all get well this week. T
