storms in pa looking a bit interesting tho the warned stuff might only just clip parts of ne md and the sw stuff has some pretty unfavorable air to run through to the nw of the cities if it doesn't fix itself.

Hmm...odd. Try Googling iadasos

Seems as though it worked fine for Mark, though.

Apparently your anti-malware is not paranoid enough. There's evidently something unkosher about the site's domin registration (not a browser issue).

hmm.. bulk shear seems a bit lacking especially south of PA, but..

Dr. Greg Forbes

A derecho (widespread damaging windstorm associated with a line or bow of thunderstorms) could drive from north-central to southeast PA and possibly into MD, NJ, and DE this afternoon and evening.

What's up with this private distribution of data? Do the rest of us peons have to wait 2 hours for the CDUS41? I pay taxes, too, and plenty of them.

i think it's just some reporters have the observer's phone number. cwg hasnt reported the 105 so im not sure it's legit, though i'd assume the post isnt reporting someone's personal wx station but you never know.

lacking...it's nonexistent  Other than great cape, parameters are pretty sucky under the cap.

even cape isn't amazing out ahead of the system. derecho seems a little strong .. tho forbes isnt one you'd put in a foot's forecast category. ;)

The phone number is publicly available for all asos and some awos stations... It's an automated system, there is no human on the other end..

Welcome to the 19th century. 703-412-8140 ---> constant busy signal. I knew NWS web distribution of climo was pathetic, but apparently I overestimated them.

we def hit 105

105 coupled with a low of 82 this morning would produce DC's hottest all-time average daily temperature of 93.5, breaking the record of 93.0 established on July 6, 1999 (103/83) and tied last year on July 23rd (102/84).

Don't discount the value of winds. They've been too light and variable for max downsloping, and the frontal position in PA is probably just a tad too far north for enhancement.

Agree, think it's the winds more than anything else, been flipping throughout the day and have really let up in the past few hours. Need sustained W/NW with gusts to 20 for max downsloping.
