bluewave
A break in the record breaking heat pattern going forward. Next week should feature a temperature pattern a couple of degrees below to around normal. The week 2 warm up doesn't look like it will be as intense as the last two weeks were here. The source region of the record breaking heat along with drought is getting a break with heavy rains out around Colorado. http://forecast.weat...ash Flood Watch

NEXtreme
Hottest day of the year....then its over...alot of rain to our south next week....cooler Also Near to below normal next week. All signs point to near average the rest of the summer. Maybe 2-3 heatwaves that would be short lived and maxes at best low 90's.

I think that's what happened as the stand of trees and foliage has continued to grow around the site.

I won't call bust yet as it's still 10am but this would be 0 for 2 for the NAM if it doesn't work out.

Even mid-90's may be a stretch for the NYC region and even more unlikely in LI, lower Hudson Valley and sw Ct.
