NYCSuburbs
i swear i got a forcefield around my house. ive seen close to no action this year thus far. its comical that everywhere around me has had atleast one severe report and ive seen zilch lol I think there's literally one around my house as well... I'm actually looking back through each individual storm outbreak of the year and so far I have yet to see a severe storm come within 8 miles. The sea breeze kills storms growing up in Wantagh we always joked that it never rains in Wantagh in the summer.... Its a south shore thing! Diego
The current dew point at McGuire AFB to my southwest is 74, and my weather station is recording a 74 dew point right now, so that seems on track. I agree the personal stations run a bit high, but I wouldn't say they're nowhere near those values. Some official stations are reporting mid 70s tds. Edit: Islip has a 74 dew right now and JFK at 75 I did acknowledge that the numbers on LI were a bit higher, (but that was as of 3pm). Then, JFK was at 73. NYCSuburbs
Same here... did have 0.02 today! Just 0.10 here past 20 days. I don't think I even got that much... the "forcefield" around my house has been holding strong, not just for this but for any interesting severe weather; I haven't seen real hail (not just mixed hail with heavy rain) for the last 5+ years in my immediate area. During those 5 years a lot of places not far to my north, south, east and west have seen several hail events.
