Guest Pamela
so the heat is returning? wow so many people wasted so much energy arguing with me about that and the below normal temps they thought were going to happen. Looks like we could hit 90 tomorrow and Friday As Alan Arkin noted in "The In-Laws", "stop with the we."

Wxnyc
Strong cell sitting just north of Monticello and not really moving. Yes, I am sitting here just 5 miles east of it this. It's raining lightly the last hour but about 7-8 miles to my west they are getting pounded with over 3 inches the last hour and some hail. The storm developed right over Sullivan county and hasn't moved much mostly northwestward at 4-5 mph. Areas underneath it are Harris and hurlyville. Very interesting to watch but knowing this area rapid stream rises are happening and someone's in danger of bad flooding dry season and all. Just looked at the last frames on the radar. Not much moved just redeveloping over and over on same region. It's been so dry here the last few weeks so I'm hoping nothing more serious than nuisance flooding.... earthlight
As the Bermuda high pulsates up and down in mid to late July, we could see some chances for organized severe weather with perturbations running west to east along the other ridge periphery to our west...with lower heights occasionally building south from Canada. http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/MRF_12z/f228.gif

winterwarlock
Who argued with u about the heat not returning? eh the usual suspects who basically declared last week the hottest of the season despite a good 6 weeks left to go of potential heat and basically said any heatwave would just be low 90s type 3 day stuff....plus then you had the extremists would said it was going below normal the 2nd half of July because of analogs, JB's muscles, and indexes

Isotherm
Nice pleasant evening again here, low 70s, moderate levels of humidity. Haven't surpassed 85 the past few days due to the southerly/SE flow.
Stormlover74
Ewr's low busted 4 degrees too warm once again. Looks like it was 71 or 72, forecast was mid to upper 60s. It's just incredible how urban areas (specifically lga and ewr) have not been able to drop below 70 even once this month.
Jefflaw77
How this Saturday's forecast shaping up?? I have a party to go to, and the forecast has been all over the place from Mostly Cloudy w/ showers & thunderstorms then to Mostly Sunny with rain holding off until night time.. Now we're back to Mostly Cloudy w/ a chance of storms.. I'm hoping for mixed clouds and sun with possible storms late.. I know either way - it's going to be rather uncomfortable outside..
