powderfreak
Torch enroute...these highs in the 70-75F range and lows in the 50s will continue killing New Englanders in the epic heat sink of 2012. Monday Night and Tuesday Partly cloudy. A 30 percent chance of showers. Lows in the mid 50s. Highs in the mid 70s.

Mr Torchey
All models have a cool down. It's not 60s obviously, but probably 75-85 stuff for most of the week and 50s-60s for lows. Low humidity. It will turn warmer and possibly wetter by the following weekend. We shall see. ITs hot out here on the sand today!~
CoastalWx
Looking at EWR they are almost unusable when it comes to temps. They stick out like a sore thumb and are probably severely affected by the tarmac.

powderfreak
We shall see. ITs hot out here on the sand today!~ Happy 4th! Enjoy the beach. I could see this next week coming in warm down in your area...with tapered departures to normal or below as you move north. Models seem to show a decent H85 thermal gradient across New England from north to south. Hopefully a pattern where you can enjoy your mid/upper 80s beach weather while it's great hiking/biking up here in the low/mid 70s.

HoarfrostHubb
Very humid here, but a lot of that is due to vegetation
powderfreak
As geographically representative as Tolland's Td. Then you have NYC in the forest of Central Park...need to take the EWR and NYC average to get actual.

The 108F from last July is still tough to believe...but TTN was 106F so who knows?100F doesn't even seem like a big deal lately since so many locations over the last 2 years have been eclipsing the 40C 2m barrier. If you're not making a run for 105-110F you're not trying.

So 108'may be a tick or 2 hgh that day for EWR but it's in the ballpark. This summer is much more typical of what one expects to experience in this area. Lately it's been warm but not extreme by any means.

Lately it's been warm but not extreme by any means. That's how this month plays out I think. Virtually positive it is above normal, but any big prolonged heat stays west. Doesn't mean we won't have a day or two in the low to mid 90s, but I could see a lot of 85-90 stuff for our area.

ski MRG
Just an absolutely perfect 4th of July. So so sweet. It's too bad some cynical urban types aren't in touch with their American roots. It's getting dark and it's almost time for DIY pyrotechnics.
