ski MRG
80/58, DP's have slipped a little. No high heat, just comfortably warm. Heat wave II is as big a flop as Heat wave I was here. Nice breeze as well.

Damage In Tolland
Lots of clouds here from time to time and it's 81.9F. No heatwave here yet this year. You must live off of or very near Grant Hill Rd in Coventry/right on the Tolland border. That's just about the only area of town that is over 800 feet. ORH_wxman
This type of busted heat wave is the perfect type of summer wx...mid to high 80s for many the last few days with some 90s in the valley torch spots...and lower dews the past couple days. Perfect for outdoor bbq and golf which I will be doing both of later today. To each their own, but 97/72 is nasty for being outside golfing and bbqing. I agree that this weather is very nice and I have been swimming in our local rivers and while that's fun we could use more rain as the water levels are very low. ORH_wxman
Official HW at CEF; 90 as of 1pm. 2 heatwaves in the last 10 days. Impressive. Well they do average 19 days per summer over 90F. The last heat wave actually had some punch to it. This one is complete weak sauce compared to expectations and forecasts. A chunk of the region is going to get 0 days of 90F out of this which was not true last time.

Not sure if that isn't BDL's number. I thought CEF was more like 12 or so ?
CoastalWx
Not sure if that isn't BDL's number. I thought CEF was more like 12 or so ? CEF is right there with BDL. Maybe 1 or 2 less days since CEF is a bit less urbanized, but both are warm spots in the interior CT valley.

So nice to have another person from the greater Tolland area at high elevation to counter the epic heat posts from another certain Tolland resident. High of 80F here today... didn't hit 90F once during this supposed torch. It fell flat after two 90F+ days during the last torch (which actually was a torch). Yeah I have been lurking around here for quite a while before joining. I asked you yesterday if Stowe did there snow jam around Memorial Day. I know Stratton did, but I did not see anything from Stowe.

Now that you mention it, I don't remember hearing anything about it. I skipped town and work the entire month of May and came back the second week of June, so I wasn't around nor did I think about it. Now I'm going to have to find out, haha. My guess is that snow may have been an issue this year and I would've thought I'd hear something about it in email or something if we did have it. I do know there was less snow made on Lower North Slope than normal during the course of the winter, and it was melting fast when I left for Europe at the end of April. ski MRG
74/54, A high of 84, nice breeze again today. I have to say I've been disappointed with this "heat wave II ". Blizz promised 100+ and I never even hit 90. Will has it right, perfect weather for outdoor recreation. Comfortably warm with low DP'S. Oh well, maybe I'll hit 90 again next Summer. moneypitmike
Even looks hout/humid for our trip up to NH this week. Big storms on Wed? Headed to Storyland? We were at Santa's Village today. Had a 20-minute downpour, but aside from that, beauty of a day. Off to Mt. Washington tomorrow. Enjoy your trip.
HIPPYVALLEY
78 now, hit 89 for a high today. Humidity was tolerable but still had the ac's on for a few hours. Open windows now. Looks warm and summery for the week ahead. Quite grateful we don't have the temps that everyone S and W of NE is getting.

Nothing worse than hiking 3.5 hours to the summit and going to take a well deserved picture only to be cut off by a family clamoring out of a minivan.
