ski MRG
Today's bust doesn't matter. Even if all four sites were to reach 100 today, they will still all finish below normal. The preliminaries for June (including today): BOS -1.0 BDL -0.2 PVD -1.5 ORH -0.4 That's awesome.

ski MRG
97 imby I'm so very sorry. Drink lots of fluids and be well. Well we're losing 40 seconds of daylight per day now. Increases daily to a 1 minute per day by next Saturday. For reasons I do not understand.... we have lost almost 4 minutes of sunlight in the morning, but don't lose our first full minute in the evening until July 2. More great news Rick, you can feel it slipping the right way already. Soon we'll be able to go on first frost vigil.

powderfreak
How many days have you hit 90F so far during this heat wave? And seeing BOX's forecast for 900ft, it looks like 1,000ft in NE CT will continue to just fall short of the magical 90F.
ChrisM
u da man Thanks, it actually felt REALLY good. Now I know why Blizz loves running. I was very surprised at myself that I've gained 30 or so pounds and can still run 30,000 feet or so without stopping. I think it's because my workouts often get aerobic which probably keeps my cardiovascular system strong.

HAVE MENTIONED CHANCE POPS DURING THIS TIME FRAME. STORMS THAT FORM WILL SUBSIDE FOLLOWING SUNSET EACH NIGHT. && .LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/... AS OF 312 PM EDT SATURDAY...EXTENDED PORTIONS OF THE FORECAST FROM WEDNESDAY ONWARD WILL FEATURE SEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES WITH PERIODIC CHANCES OF A FEW SHOWERS AND STORMS. Maybe this season you'll ski 3 whole hours consecutively.Keep up the good work.

Don't you have a seal to club? Then it's dopey to run 5 miles on a gimpy ankle. Get the surgery, follow the doctor's instructions for rehab and be ready to ski in the Autumn. I've stopped clubbing baby seals and have taken up the more humane sport of batting around goofy college kids on weather forums.

I've still been squatting ~400 lbs...you know that weight you could probably do half of while you were my age. Just gets sore against extended resistance. Running/weights =/= that. Skiing does. ski MRG
Squatting all that weight does zero for your stamina, go run on the beach you need it obviously. The whole weight lifting thing doesn't really translate well for skiing. I don't have a beach but I often run down the stream bed from rock to rock. It's good for both stamina and balance training. Mountain biking is also a good cross training tool for skiing. This weather has been great for all outdoor activities. I walked 18 this evening and barely broke a sweat. Nice. damage is done, can't really hurt it anymore by doing physical activity because it's already torn. I've still been squatting ~400 lbs...you know that weight you could probably do half of while you were my age. Just gets sore against extended resistance. Running/weights =/= that. Skiing does. When I was your age I was playing guitar in a band and chasing skirts. I didn't have the time or interest to waste a Saturday night posting about high temps of the day. Ditch the weight lifting and start mountain biking on steep terrain and get a slack line set up in your back yard. Slack lines are cheap and fun. You need to develop your cat like reflexes to survive the big stuff, not a lot of muscle bound Joey Jockbreaths at the top of the extreme skiing game.
