Wow at the 00z operational Euro. 20-24C, 850mb air layer yet again sets eyes on the E, and this time, it's not illustrated as being south of New England. Days 7 and 8 have been signaled as of late, sometimes hidden more than other in the cycles.

One thing I am noticing is that the NAO domain has more mass of lowered heights and apparent relaxation of any blocking for the first time in a few weeks as we near next weekend. That is why the subtropical ridge expansion through the east coast, and effectively lifting the westerlies farther N such that we are in taller heights is not without merit.

The GFS has the ridge flexing as well, but if the model were human it would be a grudging tax payer.

High clouds are preventing any high heat up here today...currently 83F with very little blue visible. Just a typical warm summer day with low dews and a refreshing breeze.

yes and i would think 850 temps less then or maybe near 16C limit high heat potential as well

it's only 86 in bedford,ma at 1250pm

82/56, still in the 70's across the higher terrain with Peru currently at 77. Wasn't today supposed to feature more fatal heat. The much touted torch continues to underperform here. A very nice day in progress. Feel sorry for the MA people. I was just watching the AT&T National, big storms yesterday have left them without power. They've decided to continue the tournament sans a gallery today. It's weird.lol

Looks like a temp bust for sure--81/55 here at the Pit. Taking a break from mowing. Realizing that once my new lawn area is ready to mow, it might take me nearly 5 hours to do it, Used just over a full tank as it is now ftl.

Does today's temp bust lock BDL in as below average for the month?

LOL at this zfp in relation to my 81.0/54 under high overcast (updated 20 minutes ago no less).

Today's bust doesn't matter. Even if all four sites were to reach 100 today, they will still all finish below normal. The preliminaries for June (including today):

BOS -1.0

BDL -0.2

PVD -1.5

ORH -0.4

Sun with some cirrus, 82F, dp. upper 50's. Nice summer day for those that like this kind of wx. I'd prefer 65, but it's not bad.

Good thing you're not in Towson!

When does camp start up? Pretty fun first game you guys have--do you think you'll be getting some good time this season?

Temp in reverse now that the clouds have come in. 80.4/55

But the dewpoints only matter where his davis is because everyone on here lives in deep wooded neighborhoods. It doesn't matter what the ASOS reads...my dewpoint is 65F so it means that everyone feels the humid weather.

While his wife and daughters are enjoying a lovely neighborhood picnic... Kevin is getting a sunburn on his scalp up on the roof using a spray bottle to mist his weather sensor.

Pretty consistent...the meso sites here in east/central NY are running 55-59 with dew points. I thought your DP's had dropped off in SNE last night.
