wxdudemike
The 13z HRRR is trying to develop an MCS out of those storms in IL and dive it southeast down a similar path to Friday's derecho. Any thoughts on this? I doubt it would get as bad, but still something we don't need.

cyclone77
Looks like a pretty active day on tap for eastern IL points east through Indiana and Ohio. Things remain pretty muddled further west out over Iowa. Kind of surprised SPC left Iowa in the slight. Lots of surface cape out in Iowa, and there are some remnant boundaries. However, effective bulk shear values are meager to say the least. Mid-level winds are pretty weak. Anything that fires out there will have a hard time getting organized, but I guess we'll see. Amazing watching that outflow boundary work its way across in what seems like slow motion. TORD has 117mph velocity at 587ft on the 1722z scan, just north of Winfield.
