tmagan
What is reassuring about this outbreak: That it didn't get in the way of local newscasts still doing frivolous stories about meaningless celebrities.

ag3
Strong winds are in the bowing, which as of now looks like a little north of NYC into Westchester and then CT. But the whole line is trying to bow out.

FPizz
Does anyone think the radars might be too sesitive? Second time this year where reds were overhead and it wasn't bad at all. Just seems strange.

SnoSki14
Well we aren't the plains or midwest so severe storms will 99% of the time fail. But at least we get coastal storms with the occasional tropical threat. You win some you lose some, but you can't win em' all.
TheTrials
Last good weather event around here was Irene just about a year ago. We had no winter weather, no spring weather, and so far, just some normal summer t-storms other than the hail a few weeks ago. Global warming is messing everything up

Like come on now, millions without power, massive tree damage. Global warming means extremes so going from intense weather to quiet for periods at a time seem to fit the bill. TheTrials
folks won't listen to the media next time-hype city for a garden variety t-storm unfortunately true, although just to our north it sounds bad, most of ridgefield has no power, and there was def. a tor signature that crossed over from NY to CT. Oh well, back to ho hum for the foreseable future.
