tornadojay
my complaint is that this is not hot enough... I was hoping we could get in striking distance of 110... maybe the next heat surge..
TheTrials
Heat is fine right now as golf courses too plush. Fairways need to dry out and rough is geting out of control.

HailMan06
I'm graduating today in the heat and we just came back in with our gowns on for our class picture. We are back inside now about to practice for graduation. We aren't wearing our gowns for the practice.
CooL
This should be a heat praise thread. It felt pretty good walking around for a bit after class
Cfa
I'd rather be a little bit hot than numb, wet, dry, & frozen. No complaints from me.
NYCSuburbs
I'm usually OK with heat but this time, considering I have to spend a couple of hours outdoors tomorrow afternoon when it's still 100 degrees and humid... not so much.
Sundog
This should be a heat praise thread. It felt pretty good walking around for a bit after class As opposed to those brutal 70's we had been getting prior to this heat?
psv88
Great running in the heat. Tomorrow in a suit in the city will be terrible.
cold&cloudy
Skipped my usual hike today. :/ Now sitting in my house feeling the temperature slowly creep up. I'm sure I'll cave and turn on the A/C within a couple hours.

ELCwx
My complaint is that like last year, the heat is coming during the week instead of on the weekend when you can get out to the pool and enjoy it.

Sundog
I grew up spending my summers on the hot Mediterranean coasts of Europe. It was pretty much between 90 and 100 and sunny every single day in the summer with a few rare exceptions here and there. I can deal with the heat if need be. I have a problem with humidity more so than heat and this being New York when we get big heat it's usually accompanied by humidity. Humidity sucks. When i was in cyprus that may have been the hottest and most humid place i have ever been. Was there in july 2000, i remember couldnt go up top on the ship we were on, it was worse than a steam room. I have never felt anything like that since. Not in florida, jamaica, ny, anywhere.

He's talking about the dry conditions of Greece. Along the Aegean Sea and Mediterranean. I've been there several times, and conditions are very dry there from June through September. Barely rains and the temps are always 85-100 degrees, but dry. Not to mention, some of the most stunning beaches and scenery in the world surrounds that area; so that helps. Especially the mid and southern sections and the hundreds of islands.
Sundog
Then why was Cyprus so freakin humid in comparison...it was awful Weird. Usually southern Europe is hot and bone dry. There are rare exceptions though and that might have been it. Check the climate stats for Italy, Greece and Spain during the summer months and you'll see what I mean. Just look at the 10 day forecast for Athens, Greece. 10 straight days of 85-90 with 50-55 dewpoints, 30-40% humidity and 0% chance of rain. That's pretty much all summer except the temps get to 90-105.
stormspotterlive
Can not wait till this crap is gone if only we could have highs in the 60s ALL summer long and lows in the 40/50s it would be heaven! it is too darn miserable out today. If you want the heat move down south.

There's a reason southern California is said to have a Mediterranean climate; it doesn't rain there all summer either. Just some scattered storms once in a while in s. Europe.
