ski MRG
71/67, a high of 84 (78@ 2k), well, after all the talk that was a fairly toothless warm spell here. Of course no official heat wave here, just a few warmish days. Tick Tock, fleeting summer just flying by now. Hopefully that was the worst of it. Hows the golf game, I am swamped right now man, just swamped. Meh, Spin it however you like but the forecasts for a torch, drought filled summer are busting. June is now likely to come in below normal all across New England. No signs of any sustained heat, perhaps a glancing blow of transient warmth from time to time but that's about it. Your beloved torch is dead. The golf game is solid, I've retained sole possession of first place in our men's league for 5 straight weeks now. It is getting increasingly tough to do this as the last several weeks I've had to give up strokes. The one bonus of the unusually mild weather the last 2 days has been the extra distance. The ball has been coming out HOT.

I was supposed to play last Friday and this Monday and just could not fit it in. Congrats on first place!

I'm not reading into it beyond the fact that I've been tough in match play. I'm still completely capable of putting up a big number. Playing at the very exclusive Stockbridge Golf and Country club in the AM. Totally psyched the little mini warm spell is over. Never did hit 90 here at the hacienda. Fwiw, the magic words can be heard in the first 40 seconds of this video clip. Ironically, I think this scene was filmed on location in the Bar Harbor, Me. area. Correction: per Wikipedia, this scene was probably shot in New Harbor, Lincoln County, Me., a bit to the wsw of Bar Harbor (I also note that conceptually, busting wasn't necessarily limited to the month of June in the clip).
