HoarfrostHubb
It's interesting ...and I notice that on the NWS rad, too, that the land areas are much retarded with the forward progress of that. It that really atones to the shallowness of that air mass. If there was more land presentation of the boundary hauling arse as quickly, then I'd be more inclined to think it punches into SNE. Seems to suggest for me that only the NE sections and probably the shore districts get kissed. But what do I know - Yeah, it does not look like it would be able to penetrate too far into SNE... maybe for Cape Ann, or BOS... I wish we had radar stations out over the water for us weenies. Does it appear on sat imagry well? (and Peru is showing up at 79F )
OceanStWx
Outer island are use to this so not so surprising, Never head to the coastal areas without bringing a sweatshirt no matter if its 100 degrees out "Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun...drink plenty of fluids...and bring an extra jacket." Typhoon Tip
At least up this way it was well modeled. For several days now guidance has had the boundary reaching just east of the NH/ME border. I think the biggest miss would be over the water, where it is accelerating, and even meso models are too slow with its progress. Ha ha, right - just because I wasn't looking for it doesn't mean it wasn't there. D'oh. Yeah, it's interesting to see how the land friction is really retarding that boundary displacement. It's a nice homage - I think - to the overall shallowness of that air mass as it perhaps is finding a terminus over the next 2 hours. Again, the 12z NAM reactivates it for eastern Mass on Friday - that is definitely new. Has convective QPF at Logan by mid afternoon with wind at 04! (and Peru is showing up at 79F ) There is a NW-SE band of mid level that has sagged s some during the morning, so that may be associated. My sun light (working from home today) is dimming and coming back occasionally... I wonder if we are cu'ing up some. DPs are not dried yet much locally. I realize in some further interior zones that is the case. If that Maine boundary were to settle to SE NH, I could almost envision theta-e pool ASH-FIT-BED-BOS and wonder if that would be interesting in there. Taken in stride its fabulous, and certainly is better than rain and 60. I hope everyone is enjoying these awesome summer days! Why not just wear the dri-fit material shirts..Then you woulnd't have to go thru a 6 pack of shirts each day. I have a bunch that I run in. You shouldn;t be wearing cotton tee's out there lol
Chrisrotary12
Can't say I looked hard since toes are in the water, ass in the sand with a cold beer in hand. Life is good today. Love it. Need a cold PBR on the way as well though.

Mr Torchey
93/67 dews are very tolerable on these west winds, this is magical, hopefully they can stay off shore and the coastal communities can make a run at 100-102 or so. Chrisrotary12
OT, but did anyone notice the 00z Euro takes a full-bird cane right under our whiskers D9? I mentioned that the GFS did this yesterday. Took that disturbance out of the Gulf and let it get captured by the upper level trough and bring it right under our noses and back into Maine. Now the Euro is showing this as well. Will have to see how this plays out in the coming days.
radarman
Just hit 90. A degree or 2 cooler than this time yesterday. Dp's on the other hand are 6-7 degrees cooler. Somewhat interesting that with a higher start point and lower dews we are rising slower. Clouds are a non-factor, but there is definitely more of a breeze today, at least here. moneypitmike
Congrats to all of you coastal folks. Meanwhile, it's just beautiful here on the shady deck. A bit windy--might have to take my 12:30 sales call inside lest they think I'm calling from my deck or something. 86.9/65. There is nothing at all torcherous with this wind. Air temp be damned. Considering a run after my call, but I'm feeling kinda of lazy.
