HYA FTW

yeah going to be interesting. gradient is pretty good right now (NW gusting to 14 knots). it does look like it weakens around 17z or so...that might be enough to cap the rise as i could see a seabreeze take over.

but...didn't really work yesterday...CHH went calm late in the day and jumped to 92F

BDL at 88..There's almost no way they don't crack at least 100 today. Only if dews come up or something which doesn't seem likely till later afternoon

I don't think it's a lock. Would like to see 90+ already.

Underwhelmed by 12z soundings. Full mixing gets us to like 96 or 97. Tack on a degree or two for downslope assist and a bit of warm advection?

Shows up quite well on radar

Nicely shows the lack of friction allowing the front to "bow" into Casco Bay. We'll actually have the front wrap around the coastline and reach GYX from the south in all likelihood. Really nice day on the other side of that boundary though, with temps in the 70s and dewpoints in the 50s.

Instability pretty meh today with us mixing out high dews.

I mean I wouldn't rule anything out given the heating and moist air mass, but it will be tough to generate enough convergence with just this backdoor I think. The Cu is breaking out around the office, but there is still next to no vertical development.
