Tropopause_Fold
we'll see how the afternoon shakes out...but HYA has a 11F jump on yesterday at 9AM...made it to 91F late in the day.

Tropopause_Fold
HYA FTW yeah going to be interesting. gradient is pretty good right now (NW gusting to 14 knots). it does look like it weakens around 17z or so...that might be enough to cap the rise as i could see a seabreeze take over. but...didn't really work yesterday...CHH went calm late in the day and jumped to 92F

Damage In Tolland
If you believe the meso sites a lot of places in the CT River Valley are already almost 90F. Who would believe those? they're all malfunctioning. Only ASOS are real
MainePhotog
PWM at 86/69. Misery ... take me away. I had 80.4°F and a dew at 71° at 8:23 am this morning at home. Now, just over an hour later, temp down to 76°F with dew at 63° and a SE - SSE wind. Backdoor CF?

Only if dews come up or something which doesn't seem likely till later afternoon I don't think it's a lock. Would like to see 90+ already. Underwhelmed by 12z soundings. Full mixing gets us to like 96 or 97. Tack on a degree or two for downslope assist and a bit of warm advection?

CT Rain
That BDF may have legs. NH Seacoast/NE Mass?
OceanStWx
Shows up quite well on radar Nicely shows the lack of friction allowing the front to "bow" into Casco Bay. We'll actually have the front wrap around the coastline and reach GYX from the south in all likelihood. Really nice day on the other side of that boundary though, with temps in the 70s and dewpoints in the 50s.

Tropopause_Fold
That BDF may have legs. NH Seacoast/NE Mass? yeah i think so. i think it sort of washes out but winds still turn onshore right to this area.
MainePhotog
Shows up quite well on radar I can see that backdoor CF on my PKYL3 radar on my Razr. While I was checking out the radar, GYX put out a special weather statement on the backdoor cold front.

OceanStWx
Instability pretty meh today with us mixing out high dews. I mean I wouldn't rule anything out given the heating and moist air mass, but it will be tough to generate enough convergence with just this backdoor I think. The Cu is breaking out around the office, but there is still next to no vertical development.
