No like we discussed the other day..They are correct and are products of environment. Most people live in areas like these..not on airport tarmacs. We use BDL only because it is one of the official 4 SNE sites. Otherwise I'd be fine using MBY as official

And most mets also corrected you, but whatever makes you happy.

Can't say I disagree with your general argument but who's to say those meso sites are accurate?

See Dendrite, Ryan, et al.

Dendrite agreed with me..Scroll back and look.

Ryan was blabbering about something, but didn't say one way or the other. He said something about his sensor in his yard being near the ground..then later said he didn't even have one lol. Anyone..esp a met..that doesn't have a wx station or at least a thermo at their home..isn't going to be taken seriously by anyone

Look, my point as well as others is that some meso sites give a real extremely local result for things like dewpoints, especially in the summer because of vegetation. Your backyard sensor will say one thing, but then move it out to the street..guaranteed it drops a degree or two. Than move it down the street...probably another result. I don't understand why people can't grasp that. Soil moisture and vegetation and locally effect dewpoints. Stations like BDL and ORH have trees and/or fields all around it. It's not like dewpoints will drop 5 degrees because of a runway strip...they are all reasonable approximations to the boundary layer.
