79/69, a high of 88 (85 @ 2k). A beautiful evening with a delightful breeze. Tonight was the first night of the Summer Youth Golf Clinic here. Temps settled back to the low 80's when we started. At 1700' the breeze and tolerable DP's made it fun for all. We've got a great enrollment this year and being a volunteer asst. coach is rewarding. How funny it is to see urbanites, who view themselves as cosmopolitan, display such small minded, provincial attitudes when it comes to the value of obs from the great expanse of territory beyond their concrete cocoon. I've got news for you guys, there are millions of people that reside in rural settings across this great nation. The weather we experience is every bit as real and important as the weather you experience. Checkout the flag in the picture Blizz, nice cooling breeze just as I said. Oh, those trees in the background, the ones that have there leaves flipped over and their branches being bent. That is also indicative of wind.

Still 85.5/74 here.. Hope long haired folks are ok

I'm not a fragile, frail little flower that whines about heat and humidity like those that sit in AC all day and talk about how much they like the heat. I worked in the sun all day and then remained outside until a few minutes ago. How much time did you spend in your beloved heat and humidity? You can't count dashing from AC cooled car to A/c office/house. Wait, you probably pumped gas for about 7 minutes. How did you ever survive? Some of you are total wimps and an embarrassment to men everywhere.

The 2 closest meso sites to you, Goshen and Stump Hollow both reported 91 yet you post your high as 88 ? Quelle difference!

Getting rumbles of thunder now... looks like I may miss it to the south, but man the sky is amazing right now. Massive, massive thunderhead off to the north with that setting sun through haze look. Very tropical scene.

How far does this track before it collapses? Its about to plow into the mountains so hopefully it'll get a little boost. On track to head right into central NH at some point.

Both sites are to my east and the Stump Hollow site is several hundred feet lower. Peru at 1900' to my west had a high of 86, Worthington at 1700' had an 87. I'm right on the Worthington line and I had an 88. If I had a 95 I'd say I had a 95. The main point here is that all this hand wringing and carrying on about a day or two of hot weather is baffling. It was a summery day, some people spent it outside and dealt, some people sat in a/c comfort and talked about how awful it was. It's a good thing the men that built this country had the steel to work through every adverse condition thrown at them. With the soft and wimpy attitude that seems to be pervasive in this country now all we have to look forward to is our decline. Sad.

BO'S finished at 97/66 today. 91 at 9PM obs. Doubt we go under 80 tonight. My wife is taking my daughter and her friend to 6 flags tomorrow. So I have to come home mid day and walk the dog. Will keep it abbreviated for the dogs sake. Me....I'll revel in it and then take a shower before heading back to work.
