Well it is hot everywhere. If they valleys are normally a couple degrees warmer during the hottest of the hot this should be no different.

There's no question it's an impressive heat for this early in the seasons (with dews around 70 today) so I'm not sure what you're arguing. Any time you come close to challenging an all-time monthly record that's something.

no arguing at all just saying not impressed here, last years 3 day early June of 90s was more impressive to me. I was expecting upper 90s as most MAV MET guidance said. The GFS did well here though called for a high of 93 on yesterdays run. Tomorrow the same.

Good to know, how much does calibration cost for Pro 2 sensors?

I don't know the cost for the Pro 2. My Vantage Pro cost $68 for calibration and $25 for shipping both ways, insured. MADIS QC checks are free if you are signed up. When my QC rating drops from 100% to 98%-97%, I get it calibrated. Usually occurs about every 18 months or so. To me, it's worth the extra cost every year and a half or so to have accurate data.

yeah...MET did relatively well down here though. it's strange.

MET was either 89 or 90 at HYA and it's 89F...MAV was like 84F

Interesting. That's odd. I thought the MAV was too cool for shoreline areas here as well. Maybe having trouble resolving sea breeze?

BOS down to 90 with wnw wind. Running out of time.

I'm almost wondering if they might have had a brief interval between obs where they flipped. Notice the 2 consecutive hours before they were locked 300 or so, gusting to 15+ kts ...now, they are feebly westerlies at 8. Seems like there might be a land/sea breeze interface near by.

They did weird things back in March when we had a warm spell. I don't quite understand what's up.

yeah, something seems dubious about that recess there. No one else around reported that... in fact, everyone gained 2 to 3F last hour - everyone, except Westfield, and they gained 1...
