Surprised its not BDL with the sensor laying on runway 111

lol. Yup. Airports are always such a logical place to take temps.

That's LL's truck thermometer in the Trumbull Mall parking lot--he stopped to get a new Speedo.

Thanks for the imagery to go along with the photo of his sweaty face.

lol, Would be a rare occasion unless it was the north end towards Turner, Tha's usually where the line sets up shop as it is the start of the foothills and has some elevation

Another 5 miles west (and 400' elev gain) and Hartford has averaged 109" per season, though only 13 yr record. Still, that's 20" more than my avg, 30 miles to the NNE and 300' lower. Elevation is everything.

BO'S down to 93. Wonder what the high was. Maybe 95-96. I see BDL is 96.

They may yet pop a 97 out of this...

That BD completely ran out of gas - ha.

But, borderline advisery level heat was flagged by the last couple few cycles of the NAM actually, which cut 2C off the T1. Heh, if anything ...we are OVER performing heat relative to that.

But again, the next 2 hours are touchy. Could be spiky where the 2's may be more telling.

2-3 days ago it looked possible for BDL. Things aloft tipped cooler and you adjust....something the KFS cannot do.

Yup things tipped cooler. Guidance too high as many of us thought may happen. 48 hours ago seemed like 100 was possible but we ticked cooler.

Looks like 96 will do it for the high at BDL. We've ticked down to 95. I'm curious to see what the 00z soundings look like from ALB and OKX. Undercutting MOS is usually a good idea in these setups... for whatever reason they can produce some wildly toasty readings.

ended up being almost a dead even split between the two out here...though MAV was out to lunch 48 hours ago when it was like low 80s.
