LocoAko
Amazing to read how the newspapers were written back in 1835, as well as to hear it flattened "all but two" of the dozen houses in Piscataway at the time. 5 fatalities were recorded. It is hard to believe that in a state like NJ this was the deadliest tornado on record (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but I guess we've been lucky thus far. http://www3.gendisasters.com/new-jersey/6072/new-brunswick-nj-dreadful-tornado-june-1835
NJHurricane
Thanks for posting this Jake, never came across such a vivid description of this event before....of course imagining what would happen if a tornado followed this same path today as its juusssst a bit more built up. What, you mean there aren't 12 houses in Piscataway anymore?
