I mean right now the parameters say the best stuff stays to the west, especially with dew points depressed from ORH up through CON on east.

Then again, elevated heating is getting cells going in Grafton County, NH with dew points in the low 60s.

I can see those.

That thing south of Hartford went from nothing to pretty decent a 40kft CB in 15 minutes lol.

I remember from this morning at one point the NAM had max parcel updraft speed almost reaching 50 m/s in HFD during the afternoon.

:)

looks like a microburst in southern ocean county

Awesome. Going to be interesting to see how new storms on the OFB interact with anything coming from the west. The first contender is the cell in Hunterdon / Somerset.

wish i could post that velocity loop, pretty text book...and the base reflectivity is outflow/seabreeze boundary bonanza right now.

Is it so much to ask for a lousy wind max somewhere? :axe:

coming from the guy who got skipped by the labor day derecho, you know the answer to that question...

I've been to the shore and seen some of the storms there due to seabreeze. Good stuff.

Today just screamed it with the high CAPE / low shear environment allowing any ridiculous little thing to lift parcels straight up. The enhancement of SBF is not just a good source for lift but the addition of angular momentum too. I wonder how long the area will keep up this afternoon before the front comes in...

Yeah awesome storms, they are getting inches of rain too I bet...the VIL was maxed out right where the report came from. imagine if we had better cold air aloft! (yes that is an attempt to cover my ass for saying hail is unlikely lol)

the amount of lightning in that cluster is insane.
