As a kid on Long Island, 76-77 and 77-78 rocked.

I don't remember much of 68-69, except Disney vacation and trying to drive ~30 miles from Massapequa to JFK airport for the flight to LAX. My parents thought they left plenty early and were freaking. We made it.

Some can not read it appears lol 10/11 1716 /1717

I resemble that remark.

In that case.......probably won't go before indoor plumbing was around since life was damned tough then...unimaginable vs modern times. So I would pick 1933-34 and 1960-61.

'68-'69.... and there are a lot of good ones in the 2000s but 00-01 wins up here. That's the winter that all winters are measured against. Over 500" at Jay... 430" at Stowe with a 10-12 foot snowpack and over 200" in town with a 5 foot snowpack. Others would be '06-'07 and '07-'08. The second half of '06-'07 was so epic that it would be worth the dud for the first half of the winter. We ended up with above normal snowfall and all of it fell in about half a winter's time.

Consecutive winters to relive here I'd choose:

'92-'93 and '93-'94

For one couplet I haven't lived through...I'd go '60-'61 and '61-'62....though '76-'77 and '77-'78 is close behind.

I echo the statement by Steve...a lot of people didn't answer the original question, lol.

Yea, I figured, why bother....people will answer how they wish.

Good call.....can't believe I missed that '93-'94 couplet.

For consecutives...agree 92-94.

Yeah its hard to beat that couplet...at any time in recorded history, not just relatively recently. BOS had over 180" at 83.9" and 96.3" and of course the 1993-1994 winter had great snow pack and epic cold.

I tend to overlook it because I was in a bit of a screw zone for the '94 season. Lots of OES and interior jackpots.

Yeah your area didn't get absolutely crushed that year...but you still certainly had a great winter anyway...with lots of snow pack and epic cold...and of course you managed to cash in on just about every storm in '92-'93 and putting up an impressive 97.3" that winter.

'76-'77 and '77-'78 is still king at the Reading coop though...97.3" and 99.5" back to back versus 97.3" and 80.7"

1995-1996 and 1996-1997 is pretty good at ORH too...but not as good as 1992-1993/1993-1994....'95-'96/'96-'97 had 132.9" and 87.5" back to back but 1992-1993 and 1993-1994 remain the only back to back couplet to prodce 100"+ each winter.
