No snow yesterday in Spring Mount, PA. But yesterday was the 3rd straight day with high temps in the 20's (only got up to 25 yesterday). It was down to 16 degrees at 7:30 this morning.

I drove by the ski resort an hour ago......lookin good with guns a-blasting. Maybe we'll open Christmas presents in the car parked at the ski resort. That would ensure a white Christmas.:snowman:

Hi Parsley...yes, that would guarantee a white Christmas for sure LOL.

I drive past Spring Mountain almost every day, and I do enjoy seeing them making snow.

Yup, it was a nice to see. Here's hoping we see some of the real stuff regionwide next week.

Another interesting thing, I haven't seen it "flurry" this much in one month in a long time. Easily 1/2 the days this month have had a few flakes.

Hi 31.5

Lo 20.3

This marks the 8th below freezing day this month....it would have been 5 straight days below freezing if not for the 32.6 high yesterday. By comparison there were 8 days for the entire month last December that failed to pass freezing.

Through today we are running 5.7 degrees below normal to date

Sounds like a recipe for Weather Model Soup (from Mt Holly):

KIND OF AN ECLECTIC COMBINATION OF MODELS WE DECIDED TO USE FOR THESHORT TERM BASED ON INITIALIZATION. FIRST THEJET STREAK IN MISSOURIIS PROBABLY WITHIN THE MODEL NOISE LEVEL, BUT WAS INITIALIZED UP TO10 KNOTS TOO WEAK PENDING ON MODEL OF CHOICE. SECOND THE SHORT WAVEIN WESTERN MINNESOTA WAS HANDLED THE BEST BY THE WRF-NMM WHICH HADECMWF SUPPORT FOR ITS EVOLUTION. THROUGH TONIGHT WE DECIDED TO GOWITH THE RGEM MODEL WHICH HANDLED BOTH FEATURES THE CLOSEST AND THENSEGUED TO A ECMWF/WRF-NMM COMPROMISE FOR THE REST OF THE SHORT TERM.

Toms River Obs: Feels like snow, smells like snow - must be chicken arrowheadsmiley.pngWarmer this morning up to 27F (14F yesterday)P = 30.01"DP = 16FH = 74 %

Would be nice for a white Christmas - as it is looking right now GFS has precip on border rain/snow (S/C coastal NJ) line until the storm winds up and heads a bit north and east. Heavier precip very close on Saturday but most seems to stay south and east - a few days away - fun to watch though
