Cold Miser
lol at the hot or not hot debate. Not many of those debates this past winter so we might as well make up for lost time by going back and forth with the impending (or not) heat wave. snowman21
Why are you trying so hard? Accept the major heat wave and move on We live in New England. By definition we don't get major heat waves. It's why SNE's torch spot's longest heat wave is 10 days and only averages 14.6 90+ days per year.

Yeah we get a series of unreasonable posts from Kevin and Libations about the impending severe drought/severe heat and then posts from Ginx about 60s and backdoor fronts and no heat. Bottom line it's going to get hot. Nothing terribly unusual or exciting. Not sure there's really anything to say about it unless we want to discuss the actual pattern which no one seems to be doing besides Scott and Phil. Its oK when you post 84 hour NAMs that show 40's but when I show the Euro showing the same thing its not. You should post another blog about CTs long history of tornado's, all 5 of them. Because you all post in circles about different things hoping to prove othes wrong or further your own case for torch fail or torch on. It's actually why most mets don't even bother posting here anymore! Will certainly post more in the blog - you seem to enjoy it!
snowman21
That sounds like a pretty long span of 90F+ days, even outside of New England, no? No. There are places that go months of 100+ like Dallas or Phoenix where at 11 o'clock at night it's still 99 degrees. Obviously that's the extreme but there are lots of places that average 50, 60, 75 days of 90+ each year.
