CapturedNature
Cooling off nicely here off a high of 76 to the low to mid 50s...about where we were last night at this time. Perhaps we'll have another low in the 40s?
CapturedNature
Outside of an airport, it's pretty hard to properly site instruments to the OFCM (FCM-S4-1994) standard. Snowman, excuse my laziness, but do you know if the current specs allow for station siting that is representative of an area? I went to school in the 80s and one of the things that I remember my professor saying was that a station should located where it roughly represents the area and that it should not be an extreme one way or the other. Is that still the case? That takes into account not only temps but wind and elevation, etc.
ski MRG
52/51, looks like another perfect day with a forecast high of 71. Tomorrow may not get out of the 60's as the forecast high here is 69, bvery sexy. Looks like a day or 2 of warmish temps at the end of the week followed by an extended period of more cool and comfortable weather. Get out there people!! moneypitmike
Yeah---p/c has 70* for the high at the Pit today and 73* tomorrow. Then, to the torch with 84, 92,91, 86. We'll see if those 90's can fail as the highs frequently do here. Either way, dews won't be especially bad, so the nights will allow things to be okay. Might not even need a fan, if for no other reason that I'm too lazy to go look for it.
Damage In Tolland
Looking forward to those hot summer nights...the air is still ...dews are in the low-mid 70's..all you hear is the hum of a/c thruout the land..lightning bugs flashing in the sultry night air....fans blasting/ those with long hair and no a/c with hair up in buns and tied back with double or triple pony-o's,,cold cloths dabbing foreheads, sheets stuck to bodies as they toss and turn in the uncomfortable funk..leather couches just drenched with azz imprints as folks are too hot to move/get up and when they do..the chairs and couches get up with them...rolls of Tp being used in one sitting..as it keeps getting balled up and stuck...mornings that dawn hazy/smoggy and sultry..with lows only in the mid-upper 70's...this is what summer is all about For those not reading the brutal 4 day torch/high dew thread
